PM Modi to host breakfast meeting with newly elected Lok Sabha MPs today

New Delhi, Aug 7 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a breakfast meeting with newly elected NDA Lok Sabha MPs on Friday morning ahead of the upcoming Parliament session.

According to sources, the meeting will serve as an introductory interaction with the newly elected MPs and is expected to include discussions on parliamentary procedures, the responsibilities of legislators, and the government’s strategy for the upcoming session. Deliberations are also likely to focus on the role of MPs in ensuring the smooth functioning of Parliament and effectively raising issues concerning their constituencies.

The invitation has been extended to newly inducted NDA Lok Sabha MPs, including members of the NCPI, which is backed by TMC MPs who have extended support to the NDA. Lok Sabha MPs who recently joined the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena after breaking away from the Shiv Sena (UBT) have also been invited to the breakfast meeting.

The breakfast interaction is part of the Prime Minister’s continuing engagement with parliamentarians aimed at strengthening coordination within the ruling alliance and ensuring greater participation during parliamentary proceedings.

The meeting comes after PM Modi on Wednesday hosted a breakfast interaction with 37 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Members of Parliament at his official residence as part of his ongoing outreach to lawmakers during the Monsoon Session.

The informal gathering was held to exchange views on governance and parliamentary affairs while reinforcing coordination within the party. According to sources, the Prime Minister shared personal experiences with the MPs and held informal discussions on a range of issues.

Among those present at Wednesday’s meeting were BJP MPs associated with the NCPI alliance, former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders who later joined the BJP, as well as senior BJP leaders Tarun Chugh, Vinod Tawde and BJP chief Nitin Nabin.

During the interaction, Prime Minister Modi also advised the MPs not to get caught in “Delhi’s web of narratives” and to maintain cordial relations with members of the Opposition.

Emphasising the importance of active participation in parliamentary proceedings, the Prime Minister urged the MPs to make the best use of their time to “learn” and “work for the country’s bright future.”
