Congress appoints new office-bearers for Uttarakhand unit
New Delhi, Aug 6 (IANS) The All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Thursday announced a major organisational reshuffle in the Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee, appointing a new treasurer, vice-presidents, general secretaries and secretaries with immediate effect.
In a press release issued by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, the AICC said the Congress President has approved the proposal for these appointments.
Godavari Thapli has been appointed Treasurer of the Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee.
A total of 24 leaders have been named Vice-Presidents. They include Hemash Kharakwal, Vijay Sarswat, Suryakant Dhasmana, Dhirendra Pratap, Rajkumar, Manoj Rawat, Satish Nainwal, Lalchand Sharma, Sahariyar Khan, C.P. Singh, Sanjay Paliwal, Rajendra Pal Singh, Sukhvinder Kaur, Rajeev Maharshi, Anupam Sharma, Hemant Bagadwal, Madhu Sanguri, Prem Bahukhandi, Darshan Lal, Sanjay Jait, Santosh Chauhan, Sujata Paul, Sanjay Saini and Indu Mann.
Thirty-six leaders have been appointed General Secretaries. Prominent among them are Rajender Bhandari, Naveen Joshi, Abhishek Singh, Vijay Gunsola, Telu Ram, Pushkar Jain, Rakesh Lal Shah, Deep Sharma, Maqbul Qureshi, Amarjeet Singh, Yaqub Siddiqui, Rajendra Shah, Jaswant Singh Chauhan, Sumittar Bhullar, Anita Sharma, Jayendra Ramola, Sanjay Kirola, Rajendra Tangariya, Gaurav Chaudhary, Ganesh Upadhyay, Virender Pokhariyal, Neeraj Tyagi, Rakesh Singh Rana, Ishita Sedha, Vinod Chauhan, Rakesh Rajput, Rao Sher Mohammad, Rakesh Negi, Arvind Pradhan, Shobha Bisht, Deepa Arya, Anil Bhaskar, Ashwani Bahuguna, Narender Rana, Sonia Anand and Sandeep Cheema.
In a significant expansion of the organisational structure, the party has also appointed more than 100 leaders as secretaries of the Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee. The extensive list includes Mukesh Negi, Dharampal Singh, Bhupendra Negi, Pradeep Chaudhary, Sandeep Sehgal, Sagar Marwah, Prem Singh Kothari, Rakesh Thapa, Moolchand Sharma, Gopal Singh Bisht, Kundan Kumar Koli, Rajiv Chaudhary, Kanwar Singh Sayana, Brijesh Kothari, Bharat Singh Jhinkwan, Manish Rana, Mohan Kholia, Saurabh B.L., Dinesh Pant, Bimla Semwal, Shyam Singh Chauhan, Sunder Dutt Joshi, Trilok Varma, Inder Pal Arya, Surya Prakash, Dan Singh Rana, Nehar Singh, Sanjay Saini, Adv.
