Asim Riaz says all knew how Himanshi Khurana ‘looked’ before he got her into fitness, calls Paras Chhabra a ‘pig’

Mumbai, August 24 (IANS) Actor-model Asim Riaz has hit back at his former girlfriend Himanshi Khurana amid the ongoing discussion around their past relationship and religious differences

The former Bigg Boss contestant stated that he never had asked anyone to change their religion and claimed that he was the one who pushed her towards fitness.

Taking to his social media account, Asim wrote, “I never asked anyone to change their religion. Not once. Matter of fact, I was the one who pushed you towards fitness. You’ve been in this shape only after meeting me, before that, everyone knew how you looked.”

He added, “So please, don’t use religion as a weapon. It’s a deeply sensitive subject, and turning something so personal into a reason for people to hate me is immature and only shows how low you’re willing to go for attention. And when it came to my career, I never needed anyone to build it for me or claim credit for what they never contributed.”

Who has more money and who has less? Well, if you really want to know, the bank statements can settle that. But money was never the measure of character. Character is how far you’re willing to fall when you’re desperate for attention, relevance, or a few more views,” he lashed out.

He added further, “Years later, digging through old relationship and personal life just to create more gossip says more about the person digging than the person being talked about.”

Taking a dig a Paras, without talking his name, said, “And to the man behind the microphone, sitting there with his stomach hanging out like a pig while making gossip his profession, brother, respectfully, I’d suggest spending a little less time discussing other people’s lives and a little more time in the gym.”

Asim’s post comes days after Himanshi appeared on Paras Chhabra’s podcast and spoke at length about her past relationship without taking Asim’s name.

During the conversation, she discussed the religious differences that had affected her former relationship and alleged her then partner had spoken to her about his religion and wanted her to understand and accept it. She said she did not want to do so because she felt it would amount to betraying her own faith.

Himanshi also recalled reaching a point where she wondered whether she would be “cremated or buried” if she accepted another faith.

For the uninitiated, Himanshi and Asim met during Bigg Boss 13, where their bond gradually developed into a romantic relationship. Asim had even famously gone down on one knee and proposed marriage to Himanshi when she re-entered the reality show as his connection.

The couple continued their relationship after the show and dated for around four years. They announced their separation in December 2023, with religious differences cited as a reason for their decision to part ways.
