The Innovation Showcase titled “Advancing Sustainability: Transforming the Pharmaceutical Industry for Better Patient Care and a Greener Future”at was successfully organized on 20th February 2025 at the Nims Institute of Pharmacy, NIMS University Rajasthan, Jaipur. Hosted by the Nims Sushma Innovation and Incubation Center (NSIIC), the event aimed to inspire innovative thinking and sustainable solutions in pharmaceutical sciences. Students were encouraged to explore how healthcare innovation can align with environmental responsibility, creating impact-driven solutions that benefit both patients and the planet.

Event Objective & Highlights

The showcase provided an engaging platform for pharmacy students to present forward-thinking ideas, research projects, and prototype models focused on improving patient care while addressing sustainability challenges in the pharmaceutical sector.

Students demonstrated outstanding creativity, scientific insight, and a deep understanding of contemporary challenges such as pharmaceutical waste, accessibility, green healthcare infrastructure, and smart drug delivery systems. The event encouraged them to think beyond conventional solutions and reimagine the future of pharmacy through a sustainability lens.

A total of 14 student teams participated, with 35 students (16 female and 19 male participants) presenting their ideas. Eight faculty mentors supported the teams, contributing to the high quality of the projects and presentations.

Judging Process

The judging process followed a structured rubric to ensure fairness, transparency, and comprehensive evaluation. Each project was assessed based on nine key criteria:

  7. Scale of Impact

Each criterion was scored on a 5-point scale, with a total maximum score of 45 points. The evaluation focused on originality, practicality, and real-world applicability. Judges also provided constructive feedback to help participants refine their ideas.
