Tejashwi Yadav demands high-level probe into Prince Yadav’s death

Patna, June 15 (IANS) Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, on Monday demanded a high-level investigation into the suspicious death of Prince Yadav, brother of Gyan Bindu Coaching Institute director Raushan Anand.

Speaking to the media at Patna airport, Tejashwi Yadav described the incident as deeply tragic and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.

He emphasised that, since the incident occurred in Nepal, it should be treated as an international matter requiring coordination between multiple governments.

Tejashwi Yadav urged the Bihar government, the Central government and authorities in Nepal to jointly constitute a high-level committee to conduct an impartial probe into the circumstances surrounding the death.

According to him, such an investigation is necessary to determine whether foul play or murder was involved.

The death of Prince Yadav has generated significant attention after his body was recovered from a hotel room in Biratnagar, Nepal, under suspicious circumstances.

During his interaction with the media, Tejashwi Yadav also questioned the role of the Bihar government in handling the matter, alleging that the state administration’s conduct appeared suspicious.

He reiterated that a high-level inquiry was essential to ensure transparency and accountability in the investigation.

The remarks came amid escalating allegations by Raushan Anand against Faisal Khan, whom Anand has accused of conspiracy in connection with both his imprisonment and his brother’s death.

Authorities have not publicly confirmed those allegations, and investigations are ongoing.

Apart from the Nepal death case, Tejashwi Yadav launched a broader attack on the Bihar government over the state’s law-and-order situation.

He alleged that incidents of murder, robbery and dacoity were increasing in Bihar and cited the recent killing of a showroom manager in Darbhanga as an example of deteriorating public safety.

Tejashwi Yadav further claimed that unemployment, corruption and failures in sectors such as education, healthcare and irrigation were major concerns facing the state.

Responding to questions related to the alleged EVM-burning incident in West Bengal, the RJD leader said that an impartial inquiry should also be conducted into the matter to establish the facts.

He maintained that the public was closely observing developments across the country and reiterated his criticism of both the Bihar and Central governments over governance-related issues.
