Rupali Ganguly wishes brother Vijay on birthday, calls him ‘Mummy Papa ka honhaar bachcha’
Mumbai, August 22 (IANS) Television superstar Rupali Ganguly celebrated the birthday of her brother, National Award-winning choreographer Vijay Ganguly, on August 22.
She shared a heartfelt social media post on Saturday, calling him “Mummy Papa ka honhaar bachcha” and describing herself as his “proudest sister”.
Sharing a carousel of pictures featuring Vijay and their family, Rupali wrote, “Mummy Papa ka honhaar bachcha Happy birthday to the best brother in the world, from the proudest sister ever! Keep shining, keep smiling, and always be the wonderful person you are. So proud of you! (sic)”
In the picture shared by Rupali, the siblings can be seen leaning in close to their mother as they smile for the camera.
Talking about Vijay, on the professional front, he has had a significant year after winning the National Film Award for ‘Best Choreography’ for the song “Aaj Ki Raat” from the 2024 horror-comedy ‘Stree 2’. The award was announced as part of the 72nd National Film Awards in July.
In July, Rupali compiled a nostalgic note commemorating her brother’s latest achievement.
“From being a National award winning directors daughter to being a National award winning choreographer’s sister ….. I am the proudest. Aaj ki Raat is outstanding choreography and getting national recognition for this is so well deserved. Mummy kept saying you will win the National award for Aaj ki Raat and she absolutely manifested it ….. Baap re !!! It’s huge re!! … I still can’t process it … but I have seen how you have struggled, how many times you have gone without, the setbacks and disappointments u have faced .. but ur smile has always been intact …,” she wrote on her official handle.
“The proud sister further wrote, “I know u r the simplest nicest kindest and the most humble and grateful soul and u so so so deserve this. Pappa always said Head firmly on your shoulders, Be honest and Humble, Value ur work, Put in ur best se bhi better effort and Validate the opportunity God has given you! You have done all this always,” the ‘Anupamaa’ actress added.
