Jeet reveals why he ‘wasn’t too keen’ with ‘Keu Bole Biplabi Keu Bole Dakat’ title at first

Mumbai, Aug 7 (IANS) Bengali superstar Jeet said that he was initially not convinced about the title of his upcoming film “Keu Bole Biplabi Keu Bole Dakat”, believing a shorter name would have worked better.

However, the star now feels the title of the upcoming biographical has become one of the film’s biggest strengths, as it sparks curiosity about whether freedom fighter Ananta Singh.

Asked when a revolutionary actually becomes a criminal, Jeet told IANS: “Yeah, that is our marketing point. We want to do that. Initially, when the title of the film was decided, I was not too much keen on this title.”

Jeet said he wasn’t in favour of the title at first.

Revealing why, he said: “I thought it would be better if it was a small title, like Ananto Singh or Singh. But I’m happy now that it was finally kept. People are now intrigued by the fact that he was actually the one.”

“For us also, it was a great point of marketing that we should play around with this. If people get to know what he was really like, it will unfold on 14th August.”

‘Keu Bole Biplabi Keu Bole Dakat’ is a biographical action drama film directed by Pathikrit Basu. The film is based on the life of Indian revolutionary Anant Singh.

The film also stars Tota Roy Chowdhury, Kaushik Sen, Rajatav Dutt, Chandan Sen, Loknath Dey, and Mimi Chakraborty.

Set against the backdrop of 1960s Kolkata, “Keu Bole Biplobi Keu Bole Dakat” follows the mysterious Ananta Singh, an aging figure whose daring robberies of the powerful divide public opinion, hailed by some as a criminal and revered by others as a modern-day revolutionary.

As Inspector Durga Roy launches a relentless pursuit, the story unfolds across shifting timelines, tracing Ananta’s journey from a fearless freedom fighter under Masterda Surya Sen during India’s independence movement to a disillusioned man who wages a new battle against corruption and injustice.
