Hyderabad, July 8 (IANS) Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday expressed shock over the death of his young fan Niranjan, who succumbed to a rare disease.

Pawan Kalyan, who had fulfilled the wish of the 17-year-old Niranjan by visiting his house in Hanumakonda town of Telangana on June 17, stated that the news that Niranjan was no more had deeply shaken his heart.

Niranjan, confined to his bed due to a rare genetic disease with no signs of growth, had wished to meet Pawan Kalyan as his last desire.

“The moments from just a few days ago when I visited Niranjan’s home in Hanumakonda and met him are still vividly alive in my mind. That little one, who waited for me despite battling severe illness… the tiny smile that bloomed on his face the moment he saw me… all of these will remain forever as unforgettable memories,” the Jana Sena leader posted on ‘X’.

Pawan Kalyan stated that even as Niranjan’s body fought the disease, his mind stood firm with immense courage. “The hope and self-confidence he showed toward life, even while enduring such pain, are invaluable. It is heartbreaking that a child with such courage has left us so soon. I extend my deepest condolences to Niranjan’s family members. I pray that God grants them the strength to bear this irreparable sorrow,” he said.

“Dear Niranjan… the smile you showed, the courage, the love you shared will remain in my heart forever. I pray to God that your soul attains peace,” added the actor-politician.

Meanwhile, actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood paid respects to Niranjan through a video call with his parents.

He consoled the family members and assured them of all the support.

According to Niranjan’s family members, he was also an ardent fan of Sonu Sood and wished to meet him.

During his visit to Niranjan’s house, Pawan Kalyan had given financial support and divine temple prasadam to Niranjan.

Pawan Kalyan sat beside the 17-year-old Niranjan on his bed, held his hand and took selfies to cheer him up.

The actor-politician spoke with the parents, Ponugoti Rangopal and Manasa, and inquired about Niranjan’s health condition.

An emotional Pawan Kalyan spent a lot of time with him. Upon entering the house, seeing his fan in a condition where he couldn’t even stand, he was deeply moved. He sat on his bed and embraced him affectionately. He kissed his forehead and gently stroked him. He was touched by Niranjan’s words that he had been his fan since childhood.

Pawan Kalyan fondly looked at videos and photos of dances of Niranjan when he used to imitate the actor when he was healthy.
