Bharat must share its complete vision with world for global welfare: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat

Bengaluru, June 28 (IANS) Rashtra Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday called upon the nation to actively contribute its holistic civilisational vision to the world, asserting that Bharat’s integrated knowledge systems offer the completeness needed to address contemporary global challenges.

He was addressing the valedictory session of the three-day National Conference on “Operationalising NEP 2020: Integrating Indian Knowledge Systems”, organised by Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal (BSM) at the Art of Living International Centre here from June 26 to 28.

Bhagwat emphasised that while modern global frameworks provide partial solutions, they fall short in addressing the full spectrum of human and societal needs.

“Our work is, in fact, to give completeness to the world,” he declared, describing BSM’s efforts as part of a larger civilisational mission.

He stressed that Bharat’s comprehensive worldview, rooted in experience and diversity, must be heard for the welfare of all beings.

The RSS Chief elaborated on the Bharatiya principle of ‘Anekata’ (pluralism), noting that it does not dismiss other perspectives as wrong but recognises their validity based on diverse life experiences.

He advocated Shaastrartha’ — respectful scholarly dialogue — over confrontation, highlighting that truth is vast and no single viewpoint can encompass it entirely.

“Bharatiya perspectives are complete where others remain incomplete,” the RSS Chief added.

Bhagwat praised Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal for its commitment to a holistic education model that nurtures the complete human being beyond material success and monetary metrics.

He reiterated BSM’s political independence, recalling how even freedom movement leaders maintained separation between such cultural-educational work and political organisations to preserve its purity and effectiveness.

The event also marked the launch of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal’s new website, aimed at broadening its reach among educators, scholars, and citizens.

The conference, inaugurated by Karnataka Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot, brought together around 380 delegates, including educators, academicians, and scholars from across the country.

Senior BSM functionaries, including All-India President Sachchidanand Joshi and All-India General Secretary Bharatsharan Singh, were present on the occasion.

The deliberations focused on effectively implementing the National Education Policy, 2020, by deeply integrating India’s rich knowledge traditions into contemporary education.

Bhagwat’s address underscored a growing national conversation on reclaiming and globalising Bharat’s timeless wisdom in shaping a more balanced and sustainable future for humanity.
